The “One Day in the Library” program was successfully held on Wednesday, 07 January 2026, at the College Library of Ummu Dhardha Ladies Islamic College.

The program was organized with the aim of nurturing reading habits, research skills, and intellectual curiosity among students. Through this initiative, students were encouraged to recognize the importance of libraries as essential centers for academic growth and lifelong learning.A special address was delivered by the College Principal, Mr. M. I. M. Mohamed Siddeek, who emphasized that libraries are hubs of knowledge, critical thinking, and continuous learning throughout life. His insightful speech highlighted the role of libraries in shaping informed, thoughtful, and knowledgeable individuals.

The event concluded successfully with active student participation, reflecting the college’s commitment to promoting a culture of learning and research.
